Bethlehem Children's School is an independent K-8 school established in 1995 to provide a positive learning experience for children. In our program, children learn cooperatively by working together and by setting individual goals. The pace of learning is determined by each child's own developmental readiness, rather than a standardized timetable determined by age. The motivation for learning is the child's innate curiosity, rather than the external influences of examinations and grades. A low student to teacher ratio, creates an environment that draws out natural curiosity and fosters the development of a genuine, life-long interest in learning.
All Rivers Run To The Sea
Our 2008-2009 all-school theme is "All Rivers Run to the Sea."
Growing Up Green
Our 2007-2008 school theme "Growing Up Green" spurred a number of exciting initiatives across the grades. The students did projects on sustainability, energy conservation, waste reduction and gardening in action. Staff and students began taking a morning walk along Fisher Blvd. as part of the Healthy Start program, also a green initiative. Keep an eye out for us!!
Greenfest
The school holds a Greenfest festival every October. Students create and run the games and activities.
