Themed Summer Camp Programs
BCS runs twelve full weeks of themed Summer Camps throughout the summer. Camps run from June 14 - Sept. 3.
A variety of camps are offered, with a different theme each week. This year's themes include Circus Theatricks, Outdoor Adventure, Mad Science, Dance, Nature Explorers, and more!

WEEK 1: June 14-June 18
Circus Theatricks
$200 or $275
Big Top fun at BCS! This class will allow the children to ‘run away and join the circus without packing a suitcase’. Children will learn the basic skills of juggling, tumbling, clowning, partner acrobatics, stilt walking and more. Children who have already attended Circus classes will be challenged and brought to a new level by veteran Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus performer and owner of Circus Theatricks, Sean Fagan and his infamous sidekick, Eric Shovah.
WEEK 2: June 21-June 25
Outdoor Adventure Camp
$185 or $260
During this week, we will explore nature, challenge ourselves with adventure games, and also learn some detective skills. Activities might include tracking animals and people, learning how to fingerprint, learning to work together as a team to solve challenging physical and mental puzzles, and much more. Each day will conclude by solving a daily mystery of crime. Follow the clues for suspense! Camp Director: Kathie Lateano
WEEK 3: June 28-July 2
Kitchen Chemistry Camp

Ever wanted to mix up some everyday ingredients to make something new and exciting? Well, let’s get mixing! Combine the magic of chemistry, the discovery of your inner scientist and the enjoyment of fun at summer camp, and you’ve got the Kitchen Chemistry Super Summer! Enjoyable safe, scientific exploration for all ages. Camp Director: Kathie Lateano
WEEK 4: July 5-July 9
“Under The Sea” Camp

Discover the magical world of the ocean. Throughout the week, the campers will be exploring everything “under the sea”. If you like to get wet, and you love water, then come and splash the week away! Almost a sea-side holiday, complete with a full activity schedule!

WEEK 5: July 12-July 16
Mind Stretchers Camp $185 or $260
Get your brain really sizzling in the summer with a week of mind challenges, problem-solving conundrums and mental puzzles aimed at stimulating your brain cells! Using critical thinking frameworks and learning new approaches to solving problems, students will be guided through a mini Odyssey of the Mind, designed to integrate all academic disciplines in a team-work challenge, culminating in a performance of the solution. WEEK 6: July 19-July 23
Outdoor Survival

Have you ever wondered if you could survive in the woods? We'll build shelters out of sticks and leaves and learn how to make a fire. We'll become experts at camouflaging ourselves. This week is a great time to figure out just what poison ivy looks like, so we can avoid it. Come have fun and play in the woods!

WEEK 7: July 26-July 30
Mad Science!

Create, discover and celebrate the world of science with a week-long extravaganza of experiments. Use simple scientific projects to understand complex scientific principles and learn about the amazing world of chemical reactions. Age appropriate activities will allow students to explore their ‘inner scientist’!

WEEK 8: Aug 2-Aug 6
Gotta Dance!
$185 or $260
Get up and dance in this energetic explosion of creativity and imagination. Bring your best moves and put them to the test when you create your own dance routines in a fun atmosphere. Combined with some classic dance moves, some traditional dances and good tunes to back it all up, it’s bound to be a blast. Get your dance shoes on! Camp Director: Tracy Manning
WEEK 9: Aug 9-Aug 13
Healthy Cooking For Kids
$195 or $270
From learning to pack healthy, well-balanced school lunches to preparing a family dinner, your child will love to heighten their culinary skills during this camp. Learn how to prepare and serve nutritious snacks, main courses and delicious desserts. A highlight of the program is a "visit" to Morocco, where your child will learn about the Moroccan culture, make couscous and other delicious recipes, and have the opportunity to sit at a Moroccan table to sample traditional foods, dried fruit, pastries and tea. WEEK 10: Aug 16-Aug 20
Backyard Bugs

Let’s look at the small world all around us… the insect world, that is! Investigate our terrestrial companions as we explore our local environment and learn more about the insect world at large! Learn how our backyard is an abundant biological laboratory and how you can be a biologist at any age.

WEEK 11: Aug 23-Aug 27
Nature Explorers

Move over Mark Twain, here comes the Nature Explorers of BCS! Come and find joy from the outdoors, exploring the natural surroundings and learning the art of appreciation of nature. Join us for an exploration of our local environment, our community and of ourselves.

WEEK 12: August 30- September 3
International Passport
$185 or $260
Travel around the globe without leaving BCS! The international passport will take students on a journey through different countries, culminating in a mini United Nations final day. Arts and crafts, food, history and language, traversing the globe as the week goes by. Camp Director: Deb Monteith
All camps are open to students in grades K through 8 and operate from 8:30am to 2:30pm unless otherwise stated. Costs given are for camp alone AND for camp plus aftercare to 5:30pm. All camp instructors and staff are certified and screened for child services. Students may arrive no earlier than 8:15 a.m. unless prior arrangements are made. Late pick-up is $1 per minute after 5:30 p.m.
